Singapore skyline

Singapore is a wonderful city; it is so clean, well organized, and modern that one can't help to wonder if this is some type of social experiment. The place is almost too clean. Of course I did not have chance to see much in the short time I visited. Still like Bangkok better......

People are fluent in english and mandarin. The mandarin here is more understandable for me as the locals speak slower without heavy dialect. Many have a heavy British accent which is unfortunate. If you are looking for a chinese speaking friend this is the place to come. Most speak both excellent english and mandarin.

This is an outdoor food court on the bay. Good selection of asian food. Try the oyster omlet and hot pot, along with a cold Tiger.

If you go, the only stall that sells beer is located at the end furthest from the water. But no problem. Also the scenery is great all around.
