John's Asia Travels

This is a personal travel log of my experiences in Asia and other places around the world. I want to share the stories of some of the people I meet along the way. I must thank my friend Alan Lien for encouraging me. Recommend you start from the beginning...and don't spend too much time in Bangkok. Finally, I invite you to visit the links posted in the right margin below. Just a note, if you are on a company network the links to Youtube will probably not work. Sorry about that.

Foot massage

One of the best parts of travelling to China is the long tradition of foot and body massage. Very common in all parts of China this is truly a fine experience. Here are some pics to give you a feel for what I'm talking about.

David, my Chinese father, is a long time patron.

Peng you (thanks to Lucy for pinyin version)

Zhou hua jian

You guo lei you guo cuo
Hai ji de jian chi shen me

Zhen ai guo cai hui dong
Hui ji mo hui hui shou
Zhong you meng zhong you ni zai xin zhong

Peng you yi sheng yi qi zou
Na xie ri zi bu zai you
Yi ju hua yi bei zi

Peng you bu ceng gu dan guo
Yi sheng peng you ni hui dong
Hai you shang hai you tong
Hai yao zou hai you wo

Friends (Zhou Hua Jian – Emil Chau)

These few years, one person; the wind has passed, rain has gone
There have been tears, there have been errors; still remember what’s insisted upon
After loving truly, will we understand; it will be lonely, will return
Finally have a dream; finally have you, in my heart
Friends, together for life; those days will never have again
A sentence, a lifetime, a life of love, a cup of wine
Friends, never lonely again; a word of “friend” and you’ll understand
There’s still pain, there’s still hurt, still we’ll go, still there’s me

A sentence, a lifetime, a life of love, a cup of wine
