Xinjian Restaurant in Beijing - great video Oct 2007

I have not made a post since June. Since then I now can make video posting which I'll now try. You guys will like this. As I mentioned earlier I was at a restaurant in Beijing recently with a group of colleagues. This place, like our favorite in Dongguan, specializes in Xinjian food, and entertainment. Here are some clips. I hope you can enjoy. Remember Xinjian is the far western province in China and is a blend of Mid East and China. I post these video clips for Jacky, Eric, and Alan. I know they will appreciate. I told my German colleagues that this place had the feeling of a chinese version of the Hofbrau Haus in Munich. Long tables and lots of beer.

Bin-Lang (Betel Nut)

Recently I did some travelling in Taiwan and learned about the Binlang girls, about the nut itself, and how it is sold. We call it betel nut. I first came across it years ago while reading Vietnam diaries in which GI's mentioned the locals chewing betel nut. Now I know more. Anyway here a few weak shots of what I saw in Taiwan on way to airport.

Jet has learned the new word "cleavage". Until the other day it was "Look at that groove". Taking these shots is more challenging.

The "Backside" tribute to Evan

Evan likes the phrase "from the backside". Here are some shots in his honor. These are recent pics taken on my new camera which I am still learning how to use. Some are fuzzy as I test the zoom. These were taken in the Suzhou during lunch break at a busy intersection. I was sipping Starbucks.

This shot was taken while waiting at a train station in southern Taiwan. I am sure Evan will like, even if not from mainland.
